The Home Avenue Bridge over the Little Cuyahoga (AKR-011-0002) is slated to be replaced in 2018. The bridge will be replaced with a new bridge with a similar alignment and profile. The work also includes the replacement of the bridge superstructure and abutments, approach guardrail, traffic control devices, and new pavement markings. Burgess & Niple, Inc are designing the new structure. Stage 3 plans are being reviewed and the right-of-way process will begin soon. SCE has received funds through the County Engineer's Association of Ohio's Local Bridge Program to aid in paying for the construction of the new bridge. Current plans call for a 180 day closure of the bridge.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
