Granger Rd Bridge Replacement

Granger Road to be closed for 180 days.

Jul 2, 2024 - Bath Township, Ohio

Summit County Engineer Alan Brubaker, P.E., P.S. would like to alert residents and motorists of an upcoming 180-day closure of Granger Road Bridge over Yellow Creek starting Monday, July 8th, 2024.

The Granger Road Bridge being closed is on Granger Road East of Timberline Dr. and West of N. Cleveland Massillon Road. This closure is to replace the existing structure that was originally built in 1913, and rehabilitated in 1972, with an 87 foot long, 32-foot wide, concrete structure for vehicular traffic. The new bridge will feature wider shoulders for pedestrian and bicycle safety.

The detour will be posted using the following roads: Cleveland Massillon Road, Bath Road, N. Hametown Road, and Granger Rd. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained during this work.
