Smith Road - Westbound Lane Closure

Alan Brubaker, P.E., P.S., Summit County Engineer, would like to alert residents and motorists of the 30-day closure of the westbound lane of Smith Road, between Sand Run and Ghent Road, starting April 26, 2022. The closure is due to a road improvement project.
When work in the westbound lane is complete, the eastbound lane will be closed for an additional 30 days.
There will be two detour routes. The detour routes will be posted. The detour route for vehicles 5 tons and below will involve Sand Run Road, West Market Street, and Ghent Road. Vehicles over 5 tons will be detoured using north on Sand Run Road to Yellow Creek to Cleveland-Massillon Road to Ghent Road to Smith Road. All work is subject to inclement weather.
