Construction : Cleveland Massillon Rd. - Sidewalk Project

The contractor (Geauga Highway) is  planning on starting work on this project on April 21^st, installing new sidewalk, drive aprons and miscellaneous work.  The work requires the closing of the curb lane on SR 18 form approx. 450’ east of Cleve Mass  Rd. intersection to 200’ west of the intersection.  At the conclusion of the daily work the zone  will be removed. There will also be a lane closure on Cleveland Massillon Rd. at the same time.  This closure is the southbound  right lane from Springside Drive to SR 18.  The total length  of new sidewalk will be approx. 2365 feet. Both closures will be from April 21^st to the middle of May 5^th (weather permitting). Drive entrances inside the closures will be maintained but may have reduced widths.  

Status:

Geauga Highway Construction is the contractor that was awarded this project. 

• 04/01/2025: Contract was sent to contractors for award and preconstruction meeting was scheduled for next week.

Location:

The project limits go from SR 18 to Springside Dr. 

Maintenance of Traffic:

Work will include temporary lane closures to accommodate construction activities. Driveway access will be maintained throughout the project, though some entrances may experience reduced widths during construction.
